Dominic Payte firm was the property finders, designer, and builders team for 60B Gloucester Gardens, plus partners in the J/V project. The other finance partner in the project is a Hong Kong-based fund manager/property investor. Originally a studio apartment, this London property was – in June 2017 – in a state of serious disrepair. After we found the property through our network, we began the design works of a conversion to a 1-bedroom flat. It was a project that demonstrates our design team’s visionary skills perfectly. Making full use of our experience in interior architecture, we installed underfloor heating to create space and transformed the compact apartment into a practical, but spectacular and contemporary living area. After permission was granted, build works started in October and finished in December 2017. As you scroll down to the complete gallery, we have also included some “before & after” pictures of when we bought the property, showing the condition the flat was in before we carried out the building works.
Dominic Payte was contracted to convert an open-space showroom opposite the British Museum into an impressive contemporary residence. The brief was to create a penthouse with dual aspects and luxurious living space, and our use of high-quality finishes and innovative and resourceful interior design. This, coupled with our trademark meticulous project management has yielded a high return in the rental market.
The client engaged us to carry out a total refurbishment on this West London Townhouse. This massive undertaking meant converting the house into two apartments, with one a loft conversion, and completing rear and side extensions. It was an example of Dominic Payte’s project management at its best, in conjunction with the soundest of technical and architectural advice. Painstaking attention is given to the interior architecture and design, with a “dress to sell” brief.
We recently transformed a neglected, Grade II-listed building into a stunning home, and were responsible for every step of the process of its modernization. Our Gloucester Terrace project is more than a development. It’s a representation of affordable luxury living in the area and is also a blueprint of our development business model. The project included: sourcing the property, project management, pre-planning, structural changes such as the addition of an ensuite, and managing its sale. The Interior Design team, with its customary use of high-quality materials and finishes, excelled in the installation of wall padding, hidden lighting, crystal chandeliers, and Grohe, Duravit, and Matki bathroom fittings. This is now a 21st-century living space with respectful incorporation of the beautiful original features, a delightful marriage of the contemporary with the modern.
The challenge here was to undertake complete refurbishment in traditional English style for this 5-storey house in the heart of a conservation area. Among the major structural changes, Dominic Payte carried out, to stunning effect, the construction of a new mansard roof, the inclusion of a structural steel box frame, and internal layout alterations.
